Shopify pricing 2026 in Latin America: what selling wholesale really costs
For the wholesaler, distributor or manufacturer searching "shopify pricing" before opening a store. The plans as Shopify publishes them for each country on September 18, 2026, the fee that appears where Shopify Payments does not exist, what Shopify B2B includes on each plan, and the full bill for selling wholesale, not the plan price.
Shopify's pricing page changes depending on where it is viewed from: in Argentina it shows one number, in Mexico another, and from Europe a third currency. That is why the comparisons in circulation mix dollars, euros and plans that no longer exist. This post takes each country's page as it stood on September 18, 2026 and puts it in one table, dated, because it will change.
And it adds what the page does not say on the first screen: that in almost all of Latin America Shopify Payments does not exist, so the "external payment providers" fee is not an option but the rule; that the plan is billed in dollars against sales in pesos, reais or soles; and which part of what a wholesaler needs comes in the plan and which part has to be added. Shopify is an excellent platform for selling to consumers. The question is what it really costs to use it to sell to stores.

| Grow | USD 65 (49) | USD 52 (39) | 1% | Up to 3 catalogs |
| Advanced | USD 399 (299) | USD 399 (299) | 0.6% | Up to 3 catalogs |

Source: shopify.com/ar, /cl, /co, /pe and /mx/precios, checked on September 18, 2026. Mexico has cheaper Basic and Grow plans than the rest of the region. Brazil is not in the table because the Brazilian page returned prices in another currency depending on location; it is best viewed from Brazil. Prices exclude taxes and apps.
The fee that is not optional: Shopify Payments exists only in Mexico
The 2%, 1%, 0.6% or 0.2% fee applies to every sale processed through an "external payment provider", that is, any gateway other than Shopify Payments. In its Help Center, checked on September 18, 2026, the list of countries where Shopify Payments is available includes Mexico and no other Latin American country: not Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay or Paraguay. In those countries the fee cannot be avoided: it is paid on every card sale, on top of the local gateway's commission.
For a wholesaler the impact is smaller than for a consumer store, because a good share of orders is paid by transfer or on account, and the fee does not apply to manual payments. But the share paid by card bears it in full, and on Basic that is two points off a wholesale margin of 20 to 30.

What Shopify B2B includes on each plan, and what is left out
Since April 2026, Shopify B2B is included on Basic, Grow and Advanced, and that has to be said plainly because many comparisons still claim it is Plus-only. Per the Help Center (September 17, 2026), the three plans include companies, payment terms, quantity price breaks, quantity rules, easy reorders and PO numbers, with up to 3 catalogs (price lists) assignable to B2B markets. What stays on Plus is what a wholesaler calls "this account sees this list": unlimited catalogs and catalogs assigned directly to a company, plus deposits and partial payments.
Three lists are enough for a consumer brand adding a few wholesale accounts. They are not enough for a wholesaler with walk-in, retailer, distributor and forty accounts with negotiated prices; and there the jump is to Plus, from USD 2,300 a month.

The full bill for a wholesaler
The plan price is the first line. The ones that follow, for a Latin American wholesaler:
- External gateway fee on every card sale, because there is no Shopify Payments outside Mexico.
- Currency. The plan is billed in dollars against sales in local currency; price it at today's exchange rate and next year's.
- Electronic invoicing. AFIP/ARCA, SAT, DIAN, SII, SUNAT and Brazil's NF-e are handled by third-party apps, with their own monthly fee.
- Reps with portfolios and commissions. Shopify has staff permissions (5 on Grow, 15 on Advanced); assigned portfolios, commissions and orders on behalf of a customer at their list are apps or Plus.
- The fourth list onward. Plus.
Added up, a wholesaler with five reps, four lists and card sales ends up choosing between Advanced plus apps or Plus. Compared with a flat-price wholesale platform in local currency, the difference is no longer the plan: it is everything else. Country figures are on Compare with us, and the Tiendanube comparison is in this post.

How VentasxMayor handles it
One plan per country, at a flat monthly price in local currency, with no per-user or per-rep fee and no fee on how the customer pays. Price lists per customer have no cap, minimums and volume discounts are native, so are account terms, and reps have their own access with portfolio and commissions. Local payment methods integrate without a separate app, and invoicing travels to the ERP through the open API. If the business is a consumer brand adding a few wholesale accounts, Shopify with its 3 catalogs may be enough, and we say so in the demo.
Checklist before signing up for Shopify to sell wholesale
- Look at the pricing page from your own country, dated, because it changes by location.
- Confirm in the Help Center whether Shopify Payments exists in your country; if not, add the fee to every card sale.
- Price the plan in dollars at today's exchange rate and next year's.
- Count the real price lists: up to 3, Basic to Advanced; more, Plus.
- Ask whether "this account sees this list" is needed; if so, it is Plus.
- Add the country's e-invoicing app and its fee.
- Count reps and compare with the plan's staff accounts; portfolios and commissions are an app.
- Compare the yearly total, not the plan price, with the flat-price alternative in local currency.
