GUIDE TO TRACKING YOUR STORE'S CONVERSIONS WITH GOOGLE ANALYTICS
[GA4] Google Analytics 4.
What is GA4 (Google Analytics 4)? GA4 (Google Analytics 4) is the most recent version of Google's data analysis platform, designed to track and analyze user behavior on websites, mobile applications and other digital platforms. It replaces Universal Analytics (UA), which was the previous version of Google Analytics.
What is GA4 for?
GA4 allows website and application owners to understand how users interact with their content, providing valuable information to improve performance, user experience and marketing strategies.
Main Features of GA4:
Multichannel Analysis: Allows you to track user interactions on multiple platforms (website, app, etc.) in a single view.
- Event-Based Model: Instead of focusing on sessions and page views, GA4 focuses on personalized events (clicks, downloads, video views, etc.), allowing for more detailed analysis.
- Improved Measurement: Offers automatic tracking for common events (scrolling, downloads, searches) without the need for manual configuration.
- Predictive Analysis: Uses Machine Learning to predict future behaviors, such as chances of buying or abandonment.
- Enhanced Privacy: Compatible with current privacy regulations, such as GDPR, and offers data retention control options.
- Intelligent Audiences: Allows you to create user segments based on specific behaviors for marketing campaigns.
- Native integration with Google Ads: Optimizes advertising campaigns using data directly from GA4.
When Should You Use GA4?
- If you want to analyze the behavior of your users on your website and app in a unified way.
- If you're looking for advanced metrics such as custom events and conversions.
- If you need to improve the efficiency of your digital marketing campaigns.
