Connect your wholesale business with AFIP (Argentina's Federal Tax Authority) to generate electronic receipts automatically and comply with Argentine tax regulations.
How it works
The AFIP integration lets you issue electronic invoices, receipts, and quotes directly from VentasxMayor. Once configured, documents are generated with valid QR codes and digital signatures recognized by AFIP. This is essential for wholesale operations in Argentina, where electronic invoicing is mandatory for all commercial transactions.
To activate the integration you need to:
- Upload your X.509 certificate and private key obtained from the AFIP portal.
- Configure your CUIT and your tax status (Responsable Inscripto or Monotributo).
- Enter the point-of-sale number authorized for electronic invoicing.
Once this data is loaded, the system automatically queries your company details from AFIP to verify the configuration.
Tax information and address from AFIP
If your business is in Argentina, the company's tax address is read automatically from AFIP based on the CUIT entered in General Settings. The address cannot be edited manually: if you need to update it, you first update it in AFIP and then save the CUIT again in VentasxMayor so the system queries it again and pulls the new address. This ensures tax information matches the official records and avoids invoicing errors.
Available options
- Document type: invoices A (for Responsables Inscriptos), invoices B (for end consumers or monotributistas), invoices C (for monotributista issuers), receipts, and quotes. In wholesale operations, invoice A is the most common since most buyers are Responsables Inscriptos.
- Tax status: Responsable Inscripto or Monotributo. Determines the type of document you can issue.
- Point of sale: number assigned by AFIP for electronic issuance. You can have a dedicated point of sale for your online wholesale channel.
- Auto-fetch: the system retrieves your company data directly from AFIP to verify the configuration is correct.
Tips
- Make sure your AFIP certificate is current; if it expires, you will need to renew it on the AFIP portal and re-upload it to VentasxMayor.
- Verify that the point of sale is enabled for electronic documents on the AFIP portal before configuring it.
- Keep a backup copy of your certificate and private key in a secure location.
- If you operate as Responsable Inscripto (the most common for wholesalers), your wholesale buyers who are also RI will expect invoice A with itemized VAT.
- Coordinate the VentasxMayor point of sale with your ERP to avoid invoice numbering conflicts.
Tax data QR code in your storefront footer
If your business is based in Argentina, you can include the QR code from Form 960/NM ("Data Fiscal") in the footer of your wholesale store. This QR links your site to your CUIT at AFIP and lets any visitor verify your tax information. Displaying it in a visible place on the main page is mandatory for sites that sell products or services in Argentina.
Generate the code at AFIP
- Sign in at https://auth.afip.gov.ar/contribuyente with your CUIT and clave fiscal.
- Open the service Formulario 960 N.M. - Solicitud y generación del formulario 960.
- In the Dirección URL section, enter your wholesale store address with the
http://prefix (for examplehttp://yourstore.com.ar) and click Guardar dirección. - AFIP generates a script snippet tied to that URL. Copy it in full.
Paste it into VentasxMayor
- In the dashboard, go to General Settings > Wholesaler > Sale Conditions.
- Locate the AFIP QR field (it only appears if your business country is set to Argentina).
- Paste the snippet you copied from AFIP into that field and save the changes.
From that point on, the QR is shown in your storefront footer and visitors can scan it to view your tax data.
Recommendations
- Paste the snippet exactly as AFIP provides it, without edits, so verification works.
- If you change your store domain, update the declared URL at AFIP and replace the snippet in the AFIP QR field.
- If the AFIP QR field does not appear, check that your business address has Argentina selected as the country in General Settings > Wholesaler > Sale Conditions.
