Load products in bulk using Google Drive spreadsheets, CSV/Excel files, or by importing from other e-commerce platforms. Bulk import is an essential feature for wholesale operations that manage catalogs with hundreds or thousands of products and need to keep them updated efficiently.
How it works
The import feature lets you add or update many products at once without entering them one by one. This is especially valuable for wholesalers, distributors, and importers who receive frequent price, stock, and new product updates from their suppliers or ERP systems.
Google Drive: Download the import template, fill it in with your products, and upload it from Google Drive. The system processes the file and shows a preview before confirmation. This preview indicates which products are new, which will be updated, and which will be deleted, showing field-by-field differences. This gives you full control before applying bulk changes to your wholesale catalog.
CSV/Excel files: Upload a CSV or Excel file directly with your product data following the template format. Ideal for integrating data exported from your ERP or other management systems.
Images via ZIP: Upload a ZIP file containing your product images. The system automatically matches them using the product code or name. Useful when you receive image catalogs from your suppliers or manufacturers.
External importers: If you already have products on another platform, you can import them directly into VentasxMayor. Supported platforms include TiendaNube, WooCommerce, Prestashop, and MercadoLibre, among others. This makes migration easier if you are moving your wholesale operation to VentasxMayor.
Available options
Preview (dry-run): Before confirming any import, the system displays a summary of the changes that will be applied. You can review each product and see exactly which fields will be modified. In wholesale operations with large catalogs, this pre-verification is critical to avoid mass errors.
Export: You can also export your entire wholesale catalog to Google Drive to make modifications and then reimport it. This export-modify-reimport workflow is the most efficient way to make bulk updates to prices, descriptions, or categories.
Template download: Download the template with the correct format to prepare your import file.
Tips
- Always review the preview before confirming an import. This lets you catch errors before changes are applied to your wholesale catalog.
- After applying a bulk import the changes are already live in the store. If you go back to the product listing and do not see the updated data, click the refresh button next to the green add button (top right) to reload the list.
- Use the Google Drive export for bulk price adjustments: export, modify prices in the spreadsheet (for example, applying a percentage increase across an entire product line), and reimport.
- When importing from another platform, verify that categories, prices, and stock were transferred correctly. Differentiated price list pricing may require an additional import.
- If your ERP generates catalog files periodically, you can establish a regular update workflow using CSV/Excel import to keep your wholesale portal always synchronized.
- Organize images in the ZIP file using product codes as filenames so automatic matching works correctly.
