VentasxMayor does not use passwords. You type your email, an access link arrives, and that gets you in. It works the same for you as a merchant and for your buyers.
Step by step
In the new store (v2)
The address is your store's followed by /ingresar. It is the same door for your buyers and for you: signing in with an administrator email takes you to the panel.
- Type your email in the Email field.
- Tap Send magic link.
- Check your inbox appears, with a note that the link was sent to that address.
- Open the message and click the link. You are in without typing anything else.
If you enabled social login, above the field you will also see a Continue with Google button, or whichever provider applies.
If that customer has a password assigned, after entering the email the screen changes to Sign in with your password, with the Email me a magic link instead link to go back to the normal route.
In the classic store and in the panel
The address is your store's followed by /login.
- You will see a single field, below the heading Sign in with your email. Type your email.
- Tap Continue.
- What happens next depends on your email: - If it is Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Live, MSN or Yahoo, Choose how to sign in appears, with a button to sign in with that provider. Below it there is always Send me a sign-in link. - With any other email, the link is sent straight away and you see Email Signin.
- If you chose the link, open your mail and click it.
The provider is not chosen by hand: the system detects it from your email's domain and shows the matching one, or none. You will not see three buttons to pick from.
The link is valid for one hour. If yours expires, request another from the same screen.
There is no administrator password
Your access to the panel is by email link or through your Google, Microsoft or Yahoo account. You do not have a password, so there is nothing to change, recover or view. If you are looking for a "change my password" screen or a "forgot password" link, they are not there because they are not needed.
A customer's password is the exception
Your customers do not have passwords by default either. It is an optional feature you enable for the whole store and then assign customer by customer. It exists precisely for the buyer who cannot get in with the link: the mail does not reach them, it expires, or they cannot use biometrics.
- Enable the feature. In the classic store, in the side menu: Configuration → Customer registration, the Enable password login switch. In the new store, from EDIT STORE: the Login → Login methods section, the Allow password login switch.
- Under Sales → Customers, open the customer's record and tap Assign password.
Three rules worth being clear about:
- The customer cannot create or change their password. Only you can, from their record.
- Nobody can view a password once assigned, not you and not support: they are stored encrypted. If a customer forgets theirs, you assign a new one.
- The password field only appears if you enabled the feature and that customer has one assigned. For everybody else, signing in stays link-based, unchanged.
Your customer cannot get in: what to check
First, the most common one: whether they are approved. An account pending approval does not receive an access link. The system replies "Your registration is pending approval. We'll email you when it's approved". Approve them from their record and that is that.
Next, that they are not blocked, and that the email they are trying to use is exactly the one on their record.
If all of that is fine and they still cannot get in, you have three routes:
- Have them request the link again and check the spam folder. It arrives from your business's mailbox.
- Assign them a password from their record, if you enabled password login.
- Emergency Access Link. On the customer's record, the yellow block with that name generates a link that drops them straight in. You copy it or send it over WhatsApp with the button. It is permanent: it never expires, so use it as a last resort and do not publish it anywhere.
Biometric access
Once the device has saved a credential, the login screen shows a Continue as button with the email, to get in with fingerprint or face. In the new store, if there is no credential yet, the button reads Sign in with fingerprint or face.
Below it there is always a link to erase that device's credential: Disable Biometric Access in the panel, or Remove fingerprint sign-in from this device in the store. It exists for the borrowed or shared computer.
Biometrics are set up from the store, in the buyer's profile or in the prompt that appears right after creating the account. There is no merchant account settings screen where you configure it.
Sessions
A session lasts 30 days and there is no "remember me" option to switch on or off.
You can have the same account open on several devices at once. Each sign-in creates its own session and none invalidates the previous one. To close one, use the sign-out icon at the foot of the side menu, on that device.
If you cannot find it
- You are looking for the password field. It is not on view. Both screens start by asking only for the email; the password, where it applies, appears at the next step.
- You are looking for "Forgot password" or "Remember me". They do not exist. Access is by link, and the session already lasts 30 days.
- It says "We couldn't find an account with that email". That email has no account in that store. If it is a new buyer, they have to go to /registrarse and create one; the login does not take them there by itself.
- It says only authorized customers can sign in. That is a store with a private catalog and that account is not enabled yet.
- The link says it expired. More than an hour has passed, or it has already been used. Request a new one.
- The mail does not arrive. Check spam. If you are the merchant, also check your business's sender mailbox in Configuration.
Tips
- Every person on your team should have their own user with their own permissions. Do not share logins: orders and changes are recorded with the email of whoever made them.
- If you work from a shared computer in the warehouse, sign out when you finish. The session lasts a month.
- Turn on biometrics on your personal phone: it is the fastest way to get into the panel from a handset.
- When a customer writes to you because they cannot get in, look first at whether they are pending approval. It is the reason in most cases, and it takes one click to fix.
