Auto-Seller fires automatic emails to your wholesale buyers based on their behavior: they placed an order and need a restock reminder, abandoned a cart, or registered but have not yet purchased.
How it works
Each Auto-Seller is a rule that combines three things:
- Trigger (When): the buyer event that starts the countdown. Options are:
- Since last order placed: ideal for restock reminders.
- Since cart abandoned: to recover unfinished orders.
- Since registration without purchases: to activate buyers who registered but have not made their first purchase.
- Time + Unit: how long after the trigger before the email goes out. Configured in hours or days (e.g., 3 hours, 5 days, 30 days).
- Promo + Email: the content and optional offer the buyer receives.
When a buyer matches the exact condition, the system sends the email from the backend. They are not visible one by one from the panel: to track what was sent or measure performance, review buyer behavior and orders that come in tied to the coupon.
Configuring an Auto-Seller
Each rule has the following fields:
- Enabled: switch to turn the rule on or off without deleting it.
- When (trigger): the event that starts the countdown (last order, abandoned cart, registration without purchases).
- Time + Unit: amount and unit (Days / Hours).
- Promo: type of promotion included in the email. Options are:
- None: email is sent with no coupon.
- Free Shipping: applies free shipping at checkout.
- Discount %: percentage discount.
- Discount $: fixed-amount discount.
- Value: percentage or amount of the discount, depending on the type.
- Promo description: text description of the coupon shown inside the email.
- Expires in: coupon validity in days. After that period the coupon cannot be used.
- Subject: email subject.
- Body: email content with rich editor.
- Include last order: adds the buyer's last order to the body as a reminder.
- Include abandoned cart: adds the buyer's last abandoned cart to the body.
- Top sellers / New: adds blocks with top-selling or new products at the end of the email.
- Preview and Send test email: review how the email looks before enabling the rule.
Auto-Seller coupons
When an Auto-Seller includes a promotion, a unique coupon is generated and tied to the email. The buyer clicks the coupon from the message and it applies automatically at checkout. Rules to keep in mind:
- Each Auto-Seller coupon can only be used once per buyer.
- The coupon expires based on the Expires in field you configured.
- If the buyer marks the email as SPAM, the system stops sending them Auto-Sellers.
Recommended strategy
To avoid overwhelming your buyers, use sequences of several triggers instead of a single email:
- Restock (Since last order): start at 30 days asking about restock. If no reply, add another at 60 days with a coupon, and a last attempt at 120 with free shipping.
- Abandoned cart: first reminder at 3 hours without promotion, second at 5 days with a 10% coupon.
- Registration without purchases: at 5 days ask if they need help, at 30 days send a 15% coupon for the first purchase.
Tips
- Do not overuse triggers. If buyers receive too many emails, they mark you as spam and you lose deliverability with that cohort.
- Pair the right trigger with the right promotion: a generous discount only for inactive buyers, no-promo reminders for active ones.
- Since each coupon is used only once per buyer, you can keep the same Auto-Seller running for a long time without risk of a buyer applying it twice.
- Review the preview and test email before enabling a new rule. A typo in an automated email reaches your entire base.
- If you want to offer a manual coupon to a specific customer, use the Coupons section instead: Auto-Seller is meant for behavior-based mass automation.
