Custom domains

The VentasxMayor team connects and changes your store's domain. There is no domain field anywhere in your panel: you cannot add one, change one, or buy one. Write to support if you want to connect your own domain or move the one you already have.

Step by step

1. Write to VentasxMayor support and tell them which domain you want to use. It can be a dedicated domain (mywholesale.com) or a subdomain of a domain you already use for something else (wholesale.yourbusiness.com).
2. Tell them where the domain is registered today (nic.ar, GoDaddy, Google, Cloudflare, and so on) and whether you can sign in to the registrar's panel.
3. The team adds the domain on the VentasxMayor side and sends you the DNS record you need to create.
4. You create that record at your registrar, or from the platform's DNS Editor if you have the access (see below).
5. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to show up across the whole internet.

In the meantime your store runs on the free subdomain yourstore.ventasxmayor.com (or your country's equivalent), and you can keep working normally.

What you can see yourself

• The domain's expiration date, under Configuration → General, if the domain was purchased through VentasxMayor. It appears as a notice with the domain and the days remaining, in red when fewer than 30 are left.
• The DNS records, if you have the "DNS" access (see the next section).

If the domain is registered with another provider, you manage the expiration there and nothing shows up in the panel.

DNS Editor

This is a platform screen for managing your domain's records without signing in to the registrar. It requires a specific access: the DNS switch, inside the Administration card on the Managers screen. If you have it, it appears in the side menu as Configuration → DNS Editor.

What you can do there:

• View and edit the domain's records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT).
• Connect a service: search for the service by name (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, Brevo, Perfit, Meta, Google Search Console, TikTok and several dozen more) and the platform creates the records it needs. The notice reads: "We'll automatically create the DNS records your domain needs. No technical knowledge required."
• Bulk Import, inside Advanced options: paste the records exactly as your provider gives them to you, the screen parses them, shows you a preview of what will be created and what will be replaced, and only then do you confirm.

Some records carry a padlock and cannot be touched: "Managed by VentasXMayor — required for your store to work". Those are the ones holding up the store and the mail.

The editor only works with your own domain. With a .ventasxmayor.com subdomain you will see the notice "DNS for this domain is not hosted with us".

When the editor's changes have no effect

The DNS Editor writes to the DNS zone that VentasxMayor manages. If your domain's public nameservers point somewhere else, your changes are saved but nobody sees them, because the internet is reading the other provider's zone. In that case this notice appears:

The domain is not pointing at this configuration. The domain's nameservers point somewhere else, so nobody can see the records we set up here. Change them where you bought the domain and verification carries on by itself.

Next to the notice you will see the Correct nameservers and the Current nameservers. You need to enter the correct ones in the registrar panel where you bought the domain. Verification then completes on its own.

If you cannot find it

• "I can't find the domain section": it does not exist for your user. The field is internal to VentasxMayor.
• You don't see "DNS Editor" in the menu: your user is missing the DNS access, or you are an employee (employees never get into the editor).
• Your store says "under construction" and you don't know why: this is not a domain issue. It is the Page under construction switch under Configuration → General, plus the "Under construction" block in the new store's editor. See the general configuration article.

Tips

• If you already have a site at yourbusiness.com, there is no need to migrate anything: a subdomain like wholesale.yourbusiness.com gives you a professional URL and leaves the main site untouched.
• Coordinate every record in one pass: the store domain's records, the corporate email records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and the Meta or Google verification records all live in the same DNS zone.
• After adding a record, wait before writing the setup off as failed. Propagation is not instant.
