Registration is how a new buyer asks for access to your wholesale store. You decide whether signup is open, whether each account needs your approval, or whether there is no registration at all and you create the accounts yourself.
Step by step: editing the registration fields
- Tap EDIT STORE and open the Screens group.
- Open the Login screen.
- Find the Registration questions block and tap the add button.
- Enter the Question, choose the type between Free text, Single choice and Multiple choice, and leave or clear the Required switch.
- Tap Save.
The tax and contact fields are fixed: what you add are your own questions, appended at the end of the form.
Who can register
On the same Login screen, the Who can register selector has three modes:
- Open: anyone signs up and gets in right away.
- Requires approval: signup stays open, but every account is held pending until you approve it. The buyer sees no prices and cannot order until then.
- Closed (only admin creates accounts): nobody can register on their own. A visitor who reaches the registration page sees a padlock with the message "Registration closed" and a link to sign in. This is what you use when you want the store seen only by people you choose.
How the buyer gets in
Sign-in works by magic link: the buyer enters their email, a link arrives, and that gets them in. The signup form does not ask for a password, and that is deliberate.
In the Login methods block of the Login screen you can add:
- Allow password login: an extra option for customers who have trouble with email. The password is assigned by the administrator from the customer record: the customer cannot create or change it.
- Social login.
Form fields
Contact
- First name and Last name, both required.
- Email.
- Cellphone, with a country code selector.
Tax information
- Tax ID, required. The label changes by country: CUIT in Argentina, CNPJ in Brazil, RUT in Chile, RFC in Mexico, NIT in Colombia and Bolivia, RNC in the Dominican Republic, NIF in Spain. In Argentina it is validated against AFIP when you leave the field.
- Business name: it is asked for, but it does not block submission if left empty.
- Tax condition: it appears only in countries that have one. In the Tax condition block of the Login screen you can hide the Consumidor Final and Sujeto Exento options.
Your questions
The ones you loaded in Registration questions. The answers are stored on each customer's record.
What happens on submitting the form
The button does not get disabled. When it is tapped, if something is missing, submission is blocked and the incomplete fields are marked in red with their warning.
If AFIP is down, validation does not block and registration goes through anyway.
A buyer from abroad, with no CUIT
The tax ID cannot be skipped. It is required in every country, so a foreign buyer registering in an Argentine store still has to type something there.
What changes by country is how strict the validation is. A badly formatted number blocks in any country with a tax regime; a number that is not found or is inactive only blocks in Argentina.
If you need to onboard a buyer from abroad, the practical route is to create the account yourself from Sales → Customers and pass them the access.
Seeing the form as a new buyer sees it
In the editor, below the Save button, there is a row with Anonymous and Customer. Setting it to Anonymous lets you browse your own store as someone without an account sees it, registration form included.
You can also switch the preview between desktop, tablet and phone with the three buttons above the panel.
The login screen's design
At the very top of the Login screen you choose the design variant: it changes how the registration and sign-in forms look, without touching the fields.
After approving
When you approve a buyer you can assign them a Price list matching their profile, and link them to a Seller on your team, from Sales → Customers.
If you cannot find it
- You do not see the Registration questions block: if you set Who can register to Closed, the questions are hidden because nobody can register. Change the mode and they come back.
- You do not see the registration form in your store: the mode is on Closed.
- Customers register but see no prices: the mode is on Requires approval and the accounts are waiting for your approval. Review them in Sales → Customers.
- You want prices visible without registration: that is a different switch, Show prices to visitors, in Content → Catalog & access.
- You do not see the tax condition selector: your store's country has no tax classification to choose from. Several countries use only the tax ID.
