Registration is how a new buyer asks for access to your wholesale store. You decide whether signup is open, whether each account needs your approval, or whether there is no registration at all and you create the accounts yourself.
Step by step: editing the registration fields
- In the side menu, go to Configuration → Customer registration.
- Scroll down to Registration questions.
- Add the questions you need. Each one can be free text, single choice or multiple choice, and you can mark it required or leave it optional.
- Tap Save.
The tax and contact fields are fixed: what you add are your own questions, appended at the end of the form.
The three registration switches
They all live in Configuration → Customer registration, and they do different things.
Approve registration: signup stays open, but every new account is held pending until you approve it. The buyer sees no prices and cannot order until then. This is manual approval.
Without Registration: hides the signup button in the store. Nobody can sign up on their own; only the customers whose accounts you created from the panel get in. This is what you use when you want the store seen only by people you choose.
Enable password login: adds an extra way in, with a password, alongside the emailed link. It is used for customers who have trouble with email. The password is assigned by the administrator from the customer record: the customer cannot create or change it.
Registration does not ask for a password
The signup form has no password field, and that is deliberate.
Sign-in works by magic link: the buyer enters their email, a link arrives, and that gets them in. If you enabled password login, that is an additional option and you set the password yourself.
Form fields
Tax information
- VAT Condition: the tax status. It appears only in countries that have one; in Argentina the options are Responsable Inscripto, Monotributo, Sujeto Exento and Consumidor Final. You can hide the last two with the Hide Final Consumer and Hide Tax Exempt switches, on the same screen.
- Tax ID: the label changes by country. CUIT in Argentina, CNPJ in Brazil, RUT in Chile, RFC in Mexico, NIT in Colombia and Bolivia, RNC in the Dominican Republic, NIF in Spain. In Argentina it is validated against AFIP when you leave the field.
- Business Name: the company's legal name. It autocompletes from AFIP once the CUIT validates.
Contact
- Cellphone, with a country code selector.
Your questions
The ones you loaded in Registration questions. The answers are stored on each customer's record.
Questions support being marked required. If you had questions loaded from the old version, those are all required.
What happens on submitting the form
The create account button stays disabled until these are complete: business name, tax ID, tax condition where applicable, mobile number and every required question. In Argentina the CUIT also has to be validated by AFIP.
Above the button a red box lists exactly what is still missing. If the buyer says the button "cannot be clicked", that box tells them why.
If AFIP is down, validation does not block and registration goes through anyway.
A buyer from abroad, with no CUIT
The tax ID cannot be skipped. It is required and the button does not enable if it is empty, in any country. A foreign buyer registering in an Argentine store still has to type something there.
What changes by country is how strict the validation is. A badly formatted number blocks in any country with a tax regime; a number that is not found or is inactive only blocks in Argentina.
If you need to onboard a buyer from abroad, the practical route is to create the account yourself from Sales → Customers and pass them the access.
Seeing the form as a new buyer sees it
Open your store in an incognito browser window and go to create an account. That shows it exactly as someone without a session sees it.
After approving
When you approve a buyer you can assign them a Price List matching their profile, and link them to a Seller on your team.
A blocked buyer can request reactivation from a dedicated link.
If you cannot find it
- You do not see the registration form in your store: you have Without Registration switched on. Turn it off in Configuration → Customer registration.
- Customers register but see no prices: you have Approve registration switched on and the accounts are waiting for your approval. Review them in Sales → Customers.
- You want prices visible without registration: that is a different switch, Public Prices, in Configuration → Products & stock.
- A customer says they cannot finish registering: have them look at the red box above the button. It lists the missing fields.
